Ernie Griffith
Commander - Army

Ernie Griffith graduated from Downingtown Senior High School in 1996. He joined the active duty Army after the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks and entered basic training as a Combat Engineer. He served two tours in Iraq and was wounded in action during his second tour. Due to his wounds, he had to change his military occupation from a Combat Engineer to an All Source Intelligence Analyst. His assignments included 70th Engineer Battalion, 1st Armored Division (Fort Riley, KS), 63rd Explosive Ordnance Disposal Battalion, 52nd Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group (Fort Dix, NJ & Fort Drum, NY), Defense Intelligence Agency Middle East & North Africa Strategy & Doctrine Team (Bolling AFB, D.C.). After being medically retired from the Army he worked as an Army GS Civilian as an Intelligence Analyst for the 20th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. He was the Quartermaster of VFW Post 845 from 2016 to 2023. He has one son, Owen, and currently resides in Malvern.
