Ernie Griffith graduated from Downingtown Senior High School in 1996. He joined the active duty Army after the September 11^th, 2001 terrorist attacks and entered basic training as a Combat Engineer. He served two tours in Iraq and was wounded in action during his second tour. Due to his wounds, he had to change his military occupation from a Combat Engineer to an All Source Intelligence Analyst. His assignments included 70^th Engineer Battalion, 1^st Armored Division (Fort Riley, KS), 63^rd Explosive Ordnance Disposal Battalion, 52^nd Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group (Fort Dix, NJ & Fort Drum, NY), Defense Intelligence Agency Middle East & North Africa Strategy & Doctrine Team (Bolling AFB, D.C.). After being medically retired from the Army he worked as an Army GS Civilian as an Intelligence Analyst for the 20^th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. He was the Quartermaster of VFW Post 845 from 2016 to 2023. He currently resides in Malvern, PA with his wife Heather and son Owen.
