Memorial Day Events

Saturday, May 30  — Rained out May23 ceremonies rescheduled.

The Post Honor Guard comprised of approximately a dozen members will perform memorial services at the following cemetery locations:

13:00 at Providence Church Fairview (formerly Fairview Presbyterian), 800 Fairview Rd., Glenmoore

13:30 at Glenmoore UMC, 1920 Creek Rd, Glenmoore

14:00 at All Souls Cemetery, 3215 Manor Rd, Coatesville

14:30 at Hopewell UMC, 852 Hopewell Rd, Downingtown

The ceremonies include words by our chaplain, the laying of tributes at one selected gravesite, a rifle salute, and a bugle playing of Taps.

 June 29 — Golf Tournament

VFW Post 845 annual golf tourney is set for June 29 at Applecross Country Club, Downingtown. Sign up at the post or send registration form via mail. Fees: $70 for veteran and BHA members, $140 non-members. Check-in at the course begins 8 a.m.; shotgun start 9:30; meal and raffle at post 2:30 p.m. Click here for more details.

Weekend entertainment

Our weekend entertainment will feature DJs on Friday nights from 7 to 11 and live bands on Saturday nights from 7 to 11.  The public is invited. Non-members are subject to a cover charge.
