Post Commander Ernie Griffith saluted veteran members Thomas Ames and Robert Fernholz at the February 6, 2024 meeting for their years-long service of organizing and participating in the post’s honor guard. 

Griffith said that presenting military honors at funerals and special holidays is perhaps the most important thing the Post does. "I wanted to recognize them for all the work they have put into organizing and managing the Color Guard/Honor Guard requests over the years and for always representing our Post in a respectful and compassionate manner when dealing with the grieving families.” 

Commander Griffith presented a Bronze Legacy Life Membership to Bob Fernholz and a Gold Legacy Life Membership to Tom Ames.
