2022 Public Safety Award

- 6/25/2023

Each year, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 845 solicits nominees from the local Police Departments, Fire Companies, and Ambulance Companies to be recognized for their service.  Police Officers, Firefighters, and Emergency Medical Technicians/Paramedics submitted for consideration are reviewed and selected by the Post Safety Committee for their selfless service to the community.  The winners at the Post Level then advance to the Pennsylvania Department (State) Level. If our nominee is selected at the State Level, they advance to the National Level.

For 2022, the Henry J. Thomas Memorial Post 845 of Downingtown, Pennsylvania, presented two awards to members of our First Responder Community for their service.   Each awardee was presented with a certificate and a check for $500.00.
