The annual election of officers was conducted at the April 1 meeting. Commander Ernie Griffith opened the floor for any nominations in addition to nominations made at the March meeting. There was only one nominee for each open office and therefore all candidates were elected by acclamation.

 

The positions and the elected officers are: Commander, Thomas Flick; Senior Vice Commander, Vanessa Barron, Junior Vice Commander, Robert Pate; Quartermaster, Edward Marion; Chaplain, Louis Franconi; 3-year Trustee, David Lemon; 2-year Trustee, Paul Dougherty; 1-year Trustee, Bonnie Webb; 3-year House Committee member, Lenny Gillespie; 2-year House Committee member, Ernie Griffith; 1-year House Committee member, Chris Hueston. They will be sworn into office at the June 3, 2025 meeting and assume their new positions after the Department Commander is installed during the state convention that is slated for June 11 - 14.

 

Officers are elected for a term of 1 year, except that 3 Trustees are elected for terms of 3, 2 and 1 years. The offices of Adjutant, Judge Advocate, Surgeon, Officer of the Day, and Service Officer are appointed by the Commander after he is installed in June.
