A satirical reflection by Author/Artist Phil Fehrenbacher
Phil enlisted in the Army in 1965 where he served for years in Vietnam. He became a graphic designer and has worked for the state of Oregon for 26 years. He retired in 2003 and started the Cartoon "In-Country". The cartoons reflect his experiences during his tour of duty in South Vietnam.

Get ready to rock at VFW Post 845’s Battle of the Bands! Join us September 12 for a day of live music featuring Flavor Wave, All For One, The Xenchmen, Suga Lixx, Cover Fire, 902 Rocks, and Lobster Tot Martini. Come out, cheer on your favorite band, and enjoy a weekend packed with great live entertainment.
The event is open to the public and will also feature 50/50 raffles, fireworks, food and drink specials, and an ice cream truck. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door, with all proceeds benefiting VFW Post 845’s Veteran Relief Fund. Enjoy great music, great food, and a great time while supporting local veterans!
